As part of its plan to make travel easy and affordable, Easyjet will be rolling out allocated seating across its aircraft from November 2012.
The airline has been testing allocated seating since April of this year and during this period over 800,000 passengers have flown on over 6,000 trial flights.
Research among Easyjet’s passengers showed more than 70 percent thought allocated seating was much better than its current system because of improved boarding experience, with 60 percent stating they where more likely to fly with Easyjet again as a result.
So what will this cost you?
All passengers will automatically be allocated a seat and will have a choice of selecting a seat for a fee when we book. There are however, also three pricing schemes available:
£12 for extra leg room, plus this option comes with an automatic speedy boarding pass
£8 for seats in the front of the plans
£3 for any other seat
Anyone who chooses not to pay to select their seat is given their seat number when they check in.
