What? Another wet summer!

We all know how depressing a wet summer can be, the unpredictable conditions means you don’t know if you should carry sunglasses or an umbrella!

Although long-range forecasting remains the Holy Grail to meteorologists, some weather people are hinting future UK summers will be cooler and unsettled. Meteorologists are already suggesting that this summer will be a wash out, although I think most of us will agree we don’t need Meteorologists to tell us that.

But don’t panic, because we at Villa Parade understand how important a good summer holiday is, especially if you have children at school.

So, what can you do? You could start to condition yourself to love the rain, or, you could think ‘Villa Parade’.

It’s not cold on the beach ;)

Well it’s that time of year when the days are shorter and the weather is colder. But here’s a question: “Why put up with the cold weather?” That’s right, why? We at Villa Parade, like you, don’t always like cold days – day after day…after day. And, like you, we also love the sun – we certainly love summer, because that’s when a lot of our valued customers go on holiday. But why not have a summer holiday in winter?

Cyprus

Did you know apart from being a large – not forgetting a very beautiful island in the eastern Aegean area of the Mediterranean, Cyprus, which is sometime spelt: ‘Kipros’ is divided into two parts. 

The northern part of the island is under Turkish control – also known as ‘The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus’ and the southern part is an independent republic called ‘The Republic of Cyprus’.

Its capital is Nicosia, although many visitors can be found in Larnaca (Larnaka), which is the major port found on the southeast coast of the island.

There are also four other major cities:

Famagusta

Paphos

Limassol

Kerne

What else can we tell you? Oh yes, the island’s currency is the Euro and it has a fantastic all-year-round climate, making it an ideal holiday destination throughout the year. 

This would of course explain why our villas receive a lot of interest from holidaymakers. Did we mention we have over 29 villas on the island? Many of which are close to fantastic beaches, great golf courses and lovely Cypriot restaurants.

Cyprus has an odd mix of cultural influences, which although dominated by Western Europe, its geographic proximity to Africa, Asia, Greece and Turkey means the island has a rich and diverse character.

The island attracts thousands of tourists and is often referred to as the ‘Island of Aphrodite’. While enjoying the many sandy beaches and its fantastic climate, holidaymakers to Cyprus can also soak up the island’s rich history – touring the medieval castles while inhaling the scent of the citrus groves and enjoying the island’s many wonderful views.
